Michele is a native of San Francisco. She graduated from Long Beach State in 1994 with a degree in Physical Therapy fulfilling her dream of being a physical therapist since she was a sophomore in high school. After having worked in various hospital settings, Michele focused her studies on Manual Therapy. She found two pioneers in the field and began studying & working for Sharon Giammatteo, PT, Ph.D at the prestigious Center for Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) in Connecticut in 1998. A year later, she found a second mentor in Frank Lowen LMT, an extraordinary practitioner & developer of Biovalent Systems. Michele has been an instructor of both IMT & Biovalent Systems within the U.S. and abroad. Michele's passions include anything involving body movement. She has extensive training in martial arts, has participated in triathlons and now most recently loves to ballroom dance. Michele is thrilled to be bringing this approach & level of physical therapy skill to the Central Coast. Devon graduated with a B.S. in Health Science from Spalding University in 2014. She continued on at Spalding to finish her M.S. in Occupational Therapy in 2015. Devon presented her master’s research project, Strategies to Promote Safe, Healthy, and Appropriate Sexual Behavior in Individuals with Disabilities, at the AOTA conference in 2016. Devon’s primary clinical experience is with the pediatric population, which she has served in a variety of settings including outpatient, early intervention, and the public school system. She has additional experience working with adults with developmental disabilities as well as in the skilled nursing and home health settings. Beyond clinical practice, Devon also enjoys writing and educating other therapists through continuing education courses, test prep questions, and blog posts. She enjoys many aspects of occupational therapy; her current subject interests include AAC devices, best treatment practices for autism spectrum disorder, and executive function. In her personal time, Devon enjoys board games, hunting down great restaurants, and volunteering. She has recently began the exciting journey of travel therapy and is currently working in Northern California.
Tessa graduated from Boise State University with a BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Pre-Allied Health. She has worked as a physical therapy aide and marketing liaison for Spirit Winds Physical Therapy in San Luis Obispo, CA. Tessa is currently attending New York Medical College pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She enjoys hiking, spending time with family in sunny California, and has a passion for coaching gymnastics.
