CEU Course Description

This course is designed to provide physical therapists and physical therapist assistants with the knowledge, clinical reasoning, and hands-on tools necessary to support patients recovering from subacromial balloon arthroplasty. As this procedure becomes a more common option for treating large or complex rotator cuff tears, it's essential for rehabilitation professionals to understand what it entails and how it impacts the recovery process. Through a mix of clear explanations, real-life case examples, and practical rehab strategies, participants will feel more confident and prepared to help patients recover safely and effectively. CEU Course Objectives

1. Recall the basic anatomy and function of the rotator cuff, as well as common injuries that may lead to surgical intervention
2. Recognize the key features, indications, and expected outcomes of subacromial balloon arthroplasty in comparison to traditional rotator cuff repair
3. Identify appropriate rehabilitation phases and strategies to support healing, manage pain, and restore function after balloon surgery
4. Recognize clinical signs of complications or delayed progress and determine when to modify the rehabilitation approach accordingly
