CEU Course Description

The goals of this CEU course are to describe how to support HIV-infected patients in care, clinical management of HIV patients, patient education, and conducting an initial history. This course is based off of a publication by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration and the HIV/AIDS Bureau.

  1. Explain what is required in order to provide comprehensive care for HIV-infected patients.
  2. Elucidate the first step in ensuring that patients are engaged in care.
  3. Identify when conducting a thorough initial history and physical examination is important.
