Course Description

CEU Course Description

Research suggests that human trafficking is a pressing public health concern which transcends all races, social classes, demographics, and gender. Research also suggests that human trafficking across the planet may be on the rise. Thus, health care professionals should be familiar with human trafficking and how it can affect potential patients. With that in mind, this course provides insight into human trafficking to build awareness among health care professionals so they may safely and effectively administer health care to victims of human trafficking.

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Explore human trafficking and related concepts.
  2. Differentiate sex trafficking and labor trafficking.
  3. Examine how to identify individuals who may be victims of human trafficking.
  4. Recognize effective methods of health care for potential victims of human trafficking.
  5. Identify effective methods to report cases of human trafficking, while obtaining insight into resources available to victims.
