CEU Course Description

There is a high incidence of low back pain (LBP) in developed countries and one of the main objectives of rehabilitation for people with chronic low back pain is adherence to physical activity.  The goals of this CEU course are to investigate the prevalence of LBP, identify physical activity barriers and facilitators in patients with LBP, and determine the effect of a non-specific physical activity intervention.

CEU Course Objectives

1.  Conclude what the normal clinical practice guidelines say about physical activity.

2.  Describe three factors that improved exercise compliance.

3.  List four main barrier to physical activity in people with chronic LBP.

4.  Name which factor is associated with a 37% faster return to work.

5.  Summarize the effectiveness of spinal manipulative therapy.
