CEU Course Description

Trunk motion in the sagittal plane results from the motions of the lumbar spine and pelvis.  The goal of this CEU course is to summarize the methods for kinematic measurement as well as their characterization approaches for the lumbopelvic rhythm.

 

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Name three anatomical landmarks used to measure pelvic motion.
  2. Explain what lumbopelvic rhythm refers to.
  3. Identify which angle represents a perfectly synchronous contribution from the lumbar spine and pelvis.
  4. Describe when the curve of pelvic motion is higher than the curve of lumbar motion in healthy participants.
