CEU Course Description

Worldwide, stroke remains the leading cause of long-term motor disability among adults.  Virtual reality (VR) is an emerging therapy that holds promise for the rehabilitation of patients with chronic stroke conditions.  The goal of this CEU course is to explore whether non-immersive VR could be used to effectively improve fine motor function of the affected upper extremity in patients with chronic stroke.

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Discuss what acceptance of a VR intervention relies on.
  2. Investigate when recovery is most rapid.
  3. Scrutinize which measures showed significant improvements at the level of 'body structure and function.'
  4. Define salience in relation to VR treatment.
  5. Identify the key features of all virtual reality applications.
