CEU Course Description
Chronic low back pain is a potentially disabling comorbidity of the obesity epidemic and a leading cause of disability. First, we will discuss the exercise prescription techniques regarding patients with low back pain, and examples of core strengthening exercises applicable. Next, this course will delve into a twelve-week program of lumbar stabilization exercises and the effects that may be seen on the cross-sectional area of the multifidi muscles, the peak torque of the trunk muscles, and the level of pain seen in women with chronic low back pain.
